Course Description

Y10 Innovation looks at what innovation is and how this process can be used to solve problems. During the course students will develop their problem solving skills in a variety of contexts as well as designing solutions to a problem of their choosing. Students will be challenged to create solutions by using a variety of making techniques including construction, robotics, and 3D printing.
Course Overview
Term 1
We will examine how innovation is a process to solve problems. A variety of problems will be presented to solve including team building problems, word and logic problems and digital breakouts. Students will create their own digital breakout.
Term 2
Students will use the innovation process (Design Thinking) to solve a problem to do with an environmental issue and then complete their own project solving a problem of their choosing.
