Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Lawrence
• Practical programme based on two major projects using a range of modern and traditional construction methods. An introduction to modern equipment and fittings.
• Development of practical skills.
• A focus on industry and trade related assessments including health and safety.
This course undertaken in an Engineering Workshop.

Term 1
Introduction / Safety
CAD Drawing and sketching of components.
First practical commences. Toolmakers Clamp.
Term 2
First practical completed.
CAD Drawing assessment.
Term 3
Second Practical commences. 2 Stroke compressed air engine.
Term 4
Second practical completed.
Final practical assessment (Machining)
