Japanese - Level 2

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: S. Barrett

Japanese at Level 2 broadens students' horizons. Akonga move from the immediately familiar to making comparisons between culture and lifestyle. The aim is to develop increasingly able communicators who can participate in discussion. This is achieved by inquiring into similarities and differences between New Zealand and Japan in contexts such as friendship, study, interests, and travel.

Pathway

Apart from dedicated career paths, such as interpreter, teacher, or translator, a language is a useful addition to any future pathway. Marketing, sales, law, medicine, health and lifestyle, and diplomatic careers all benefit from an additional worldview.
