PrerequisitesOpen Entry - 10 Art or 10 Design preferred
Students in Level One Painting learn basic drawing, painting and mark making methods to develop their own art making abilities.
The course is largely practical and allows for students to develop their own creativity, problem solving and collaboration.

Term 1
Students begin to create work based on their chosen theme. Understanding Art making conventions and applying the ideas of the selected artist model will be a core focus of this term.
Term 2
Students continue to develop their ideas as they conclude their Internal assessment.
Term 3
Students work towards their external folio board in the development of ideas based on the work of a range of artist models.
Term 4
This term sees the culmination of work for the presentation of work for the external folio submission.

Assessment Information Students will complete one internal and one external assessment. The external assessment is completed during the year.
