Course Description

Design a project centered around composing and recording two original pieces of music.

  • Write, perform and record 2 songs to submit for RockQuest, Chamber Music Contest or Jazz Festival

  • Write, perform and record 2 songs to release on Spotify or YouTube

  • Utilise DAWs, music notation software and MIDI sequencing to realise projects

Course Overview

Term 1
Use notation software to notate melodic parts from your compositions.

Term 2
Set up a multitrack recording session for your groups two original compositions.

Term 3
Compose two original pieces.

Term 4
Perform one piece as a member of a group.
