Mathematics:

In this part of the course, basic Algebraic Methods and Techniques are used to solve problems set in real-life contextual situations.

Solving Simultaneous Equations (3 credits) and Linear Programming (3 credits) are the Internal assessment focus in this part of the course. Students that have struggled with Algebraic Methods and Techniques will find success in this course because in the two areas, the range of skills needed to develop is narrow and straightforward.

There is an External assessment of Statistical Reports(4 credits) which concludes the program. This based on the use of the Statistical Enquiry Cycle.
