In this programme, students are offered:
1. A range of community service opportunities. Students can choose to work alongside the elderly or provide both classroom and individual support in local primary schools.
2. The opportunity to work alongside junior TBC students on a one-to-one basis, under supervision, in order to raise the level of the students Reading or Mathematical ability.
3. In-School Mentoring.
Course participants will be expected to offer their support in a range of the above activities.
Training is given. A certificate is awarded.
It is the policy of Tauranga Boys’ College to have school-wide policies that inform parents and students of the criteria for administering all Assessments for National Qualifications.
