Course Description

Social Studies learning area is about how societies work and how people participate and interact with their beliefs, each other and their environment.

History Research and Understanding. Construct a Research Folder and produce a Chapter of a text on that topic.

Develop your knowledge and skills which enable you to investigate social life.
Develop a sociological understanding of the importance of society and culture and an appreciation of how your own society and culture impact upon you.

Develop your awareness of cultural diversity within New Zealand.
Participate effectively in New Zealand's changing social political and economic environment.
