Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Leana Buxton.
Processes and procedures involved with digital photography and the generating, analysing and clarifying of ideas within the confines of a theme.
The year culminates in a folio submission where students present a body of work for marking.
All camera equipment is provided for student use.
Course Overview
Term 1
Students choose a theme/topic for their work and begin investigating this idea through Photography. Learning photography conventions both on location and in the studio underpins the learning for Term one.
Term 2
Students continue to develop the ideas for their photographic investigation using the ideas and conventions of their selected artist model.
Term 3
Students continue to develop their ideas as they work towards the presentation of the three panel folio board. Generation, development and clarification of ideas should occur and self management of time is key to the success of this term.
Term 4
Students submit the work for their three panel folio submission to be marked as an external submission.

Students must purchase their own SD card for home and school use.
Assessment Information
The assessments on offer in this course are made up of two internal assessments and one external assessment. The external is completed throughout the year and culminates in the presentation of a three panel folio submission.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
Course endorsement provides recognition for a student who has performed exceptionally well in an individual course.
Students will gain an endorsement for a course if, in a single school year, they achieve:
* 14 or more credits at Merit or Excellence, and
* at least 3 of these credits from externally assessed standards and 3 credits from internally assessed standards.
This course is approved for University Entrance.
