Online University (S1)
Course Description
The University of Waikato, Unistart programme, gives students the opportunity to take University papers while at secondary school.
These papers are delivered entirely online and are 100% internally assessed (there is no exam).
Fees-free: The Unistart Programme does not affect fees-free eligibility for full-time study the following year.

Prerequisites
Open to year 12 and 13 secondary school students who:
- are over 16 years old at the start of the paper,
- have New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency,
- have NCEA Level 2 or above endorsed with merit or excellence, and
- have approval from Academic Tutor or Deputy Principal (Senior School)
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$75 admin fee paid in full before the course starts.
NB: This course is subsidised by Tauranga Boys College. If the student withdraws at any stage, you a liable for the full cost of the paper ($848).
A laptop that can be used to research, play lectures, and write reports. (A tablet or an iPad is not suitable.)
A set of headphones.
