Mathematics 3 (S1)
Course Description

This Level 3 course, when chosen with Mathematics 3(S2), will enable students to gain University Entrance.
Semester 1 has three Internal Assessments from the Mathematics and Statistics strand.
Statistics:
Using the Statistical Methods and the 'Statistical Enquiry Cycle', investigate real-life contextual situations involving analysis of data leading to conclusions.
Students carry out investigations in Time Series (4 credits), Formal Inference (4 credits), and Conducting Experiments (4 credits) where they analyse data mainly using computer technology and interpret the results based on a deeper understanding of Statistical knowledge and concepts.

Semester B
Students would pick Mathematics 3 (S2). This option will be open for students in Mathematics 3 (S1) that have passed two of the internal assessments.
Prerequisites
Achieved 12 or more credits in a pathway course at Level 2, and attempted an External Assessment in that course. Alternatively, you will need HOD approval.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
In-class/at home workbooks and study guides required and cost approximately $36.
