Course Description

NB: You must select an even number of Semester Courses.

Social Studies learning area is about how societies work and how people participate and interact with their beliefs, each other and their environment.

This courses is designed to assist those who struggle with meeting deadlines but like Social Studies. The assessments are Internally Assessed and are unit Standards.

Use sensitivity and creative thinking in studies of controversial issues.
Demonstrate an awareness of the roles of culture, gender, age, ethnicity and social class differences when analysing social structures.

Prerequisites

If you choose this course you should have been close to passing Level Two or have passed Level Two with a mixture of Achievement Standards and Unit standards.
