PrerequisitesOpen Entry
Students will expand skills and understanding in drawing, painting and printmaking. Learning will pivot from a range of traditional and contemporary art making practices. Students will have the opportunity to develop personal imagery and styles. Learning skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration are key ideas explored in this course.
Term 1
Students will use the Urban Environment to explore a range of drawing and printmaking techniques. From these explorations, they will then create their own sculptural outcome - a favourite for our students!
Term 2
Students draw upon our rich collection of New Zealand Contemporary Māori artists to inspire creative, outcomes, exploring ideas of identity, belonging and self.
Term 3
