10 Māori Performing Arts
Course Description
Teacher in Charge:
Students will be able to extend their understanding, demonstrate knowledge in the art of performing haka (war dance), mau rākau (weaponry), moteatea and waiata.
Course Overview
Term 1
Term 1 and 2 focuses on on Mau Rakau and Pohiri. Students will learn how to perform wero to visitors, and perform haka and waiata tautoko for the pohiri process.
Term 2
