10 Product Technology
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Gareth Osmond.
Y10 Product Technology focuses on innovation, design, and developing the workshop skills needed at year 11. Students develop either their own customised "gaming chair’ or ‘scooter’. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and CNC technologies are also included. It is people in this slice of the industry that will in future years, develop so many exciting new products to take up opportunities and help address the significant social and environmental issues we are facing.
In year 10 students design and develop their own scooter or gaming chair.
Both of these projects allow them to develop their understanding of the product development process, improve their workshop skills, and have some fun !!
