Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr J. Komene
This course offers intermediate stage Māori language oral and written, for students who have already studied and completed Maori at Level 2. It is the study of language in greater depth with an emphasis on oral and written Māori.
Summative / Formative Assessments that students will undertake during the year:
• Listening test
• Oral test
• Creative writing test
• Mid-year exam
• End-year exam (prep for external exams – Pānui)
• NZQA external exam for Pānui
Prerequisites
If you did not take the course at Level 2, or achieved fewer than 14 credits in that course, you will need HOD approval

Total Credits Available: 22 credits.
